About us
Namibian National Association of the Deaf was established in 1991 to promote equal rights and opportunities for Deaf Namibians. Currently, there are about 27,000 Deaf people who are marginalized and lack access to basic necessities and rights. NNAD is not politically, racially, ethnically or religiously orientated. Its purpose is to protect the social, legal, linguistic and cultural interests of all Deaf people regardless of gender, age, affiliation, background or origin.
Support us
With your support we can achieve great things! We have already made great progress and we have many more projects in the pipeline such as training more sign language interpreters, maximising access to sign language throughout all regions of Namibia and the development of an app to advance the rights and participation of deaf people in Namibia.
