When referring to people with disabilities, choose words that reflect dignity and respect. Use language that describes the person’s disability without defining the individual as his or her disability.
We are delighted to have launched “NamSLAP” the Namibian Sign Language app. It is a fun and interactive app that will allow you to learn specific signs to better communicate with Deaf friends, colleagues, or customers.

The NNAD Deaf team is thrilled to announce the resounding success of our first data collection trip to the coast! From February 26th to March 1st, we engaged with the wonderful Deaf communities in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay.
